It is necessary

  • - learn Surah "Al-Fatiha";
  • - prepare a place for prayer, the body and clothing should be clean at the same time;
  • - face towards Mecca.

Instructions

Step 1

If you have just converted to Islam or have recently begun to observe all of its rules, simply repeat the movements of the prayer for the one who reads it (for the imam), while you can be silent for now, and at the end repeat the word "Amen".

Step 2

If you are reading namaz at home and you have no one to repeat, stand facing towards the location of the city of Mecca and read Surah "Al-Fatiha" while performing all actions. It is imperative to read aloud to hear yourself, while observing all the rules and sequence of ayahs, pronounce all letters without distortion. It is best to learn how to read the sura correctly from a reliable teacher.

Step 3

If you have already started studying "Al-Fatiha" and know one or more suras, repeat them several times in order to pronounce the same volume of text as a result, as when reading the whole surah "Al-Fatiha" (156 letters).

Step 4

In case you have not yet learned how to read Surah Al-Fatiha correctly, read any passage from the Holy Quran (which you can read well). Please note that the passage must contain at least the letters in the sura (156 letters).

Step 5

In order to perform namaz, despite the fact that you do not know how to read either from "Al-Fatih" or from the Koran, just say the words of remembrance of Allah (dhikr). For example, say the phrase "Allah is above all shortcomings, Praise and Glory to Allah, there is no deity but Allah, Allah is Almighty" (it will sound like this: "Subhana-allah, wa-l-hamdu-li-lllah, wa la ilaha illa-allah, wa-allahu Akbar ").

Step 6

As a last resort, remember, the Prophet said in a hadith: “If you can read the Qur'an, read it. If you cannot, read "Al-hamdu-li-lllah, la ilaha illa-lllah, Allahu Akbar." Thus, you can say the words "Allahu Akbar" twenty times, and that will be enough.

Step 7

If you are completely at a loss and cannot read any of the above, then just stand silently, as long as it takes to read Surah Al-Fatiha at a moderate pace.
