Step 2
To join the Writers 'Union, the author will need not only to write a series of stories, a novel or a volume of poetry, but also to get approval in the Writers' Union of his works. Only after receiving it and editing it by a professional writer can you start publishing the book at your own expense.
Step 3
Sometimes it can take several years for the author and the book he published to be noticed and recognized as “theirs” in the House of Writers. During this time, it is desirable to write and publish another book.

It is after this that the author can submit an application and all the necessary documents for joining the Writers' Union of Russia (3x4 photos, autobiography, published books in 2 - 3 copies, a certificate of published works), it is also required to attach the recommendations of two or three members of the Union …

At the next meeting of the board, the application is discussed, and the author is recommended or not recommended for discussion. After discussion by the meeting of writers, a vote takes place and the author is either accepted into the Writers' Union or not.

Then the package of the author's documents is sent to Moscow, where the head organization of the Writers' Union of Russia is located.
