Twin festivals have been held for a long time. The most popular ones gather thousands of participants. In addition to people who are like two peas in a pod, they bring together scientists, psychologists, doctors and other specialists who are interested in solving various scientific problems.
Twins are not such a rarity, but at all times they caused a feeling of tenderness, and the interest shown in this phenomenon will probably never dry up. The twins themselves have the opportunity to join numerous communities and organizations that not only unite them, but also provide an opportunity to discuss issues of concern.
Oldest festivals
One of the oldest and most respected twin festivals has been held since 1976 in Twinsburg (Ohio, USA). Its founders, by the way, also twins, the Wilcox brothers, manage to collect annually more than 3000 pairs (triplets, etc.) of these unusual and interesting people. The Twinsburg Festival is distinguished from other similar events by the fact that each time the form of its holding is different, this, of course, pleases not only the participants themselves, but also the spectators who are happy to visit it on the first Sunday in August.
Every year in many cities around the world, a fascinating event is held - the festival of twins. In addition to the heroes of the occasion, teachers, psychologists, doctors and just everyone else can take part in it as spectators.
But the oldest and to this day active gathering of identical couples is the festival, which is organized by the International Association of Twins. It has been held since 1930, in the USA, Indiana. At one time, only 13 pairs of twins were present at the first festival, but time has done its job - it has become very popular, and now it is considered an honor to hold festivals almost all over America, which gather twins from all over the world.

It is noteworthy that within the framework of the twin festivals, as a rule, scientific conferences are held, at which specialists from various fields consider the issues of the physical, psychological and mental development of these people at different stages of life. And this turns the events held into something more than just a spectacle.
This movement has not spared Russia either. Since the 90s of the last century, similar annual holidays have been held here and there. And some of the most famous are festivals in Udmurtia and Naberezhnye Chelny. Even if they are not so popular yet, especially considering that the organizers and participants adhere to the "dry law", ie. the use of alcoholic beverages during the festival is prohibited, but still more and more participants come to them from year to year.
