He starred in a large number of films, but the most famous were the works of the cult director James Cameron, among which - "The Terminator". In it, the actor played the soldier Kyle Reeves, who came from the future with an important mission for humanity.
Early biography
Michael Bean was born in 1956 in the small American town of Anniston. Almost nothing is known about the early years of the actor's life. He was brought up in an ordinary, unremarkable family. At the same time, Michael grew up as a rather beautiful child, which owes his British, German and Czech roots. After graduating from high school, Bean entered the University of Arizona to study acting. He was so eager to conquer Hollywood that, without completing his education, the young man went straight there.
The aspiring artist began to participate in numerous screen tests, but they were in no hurry to take on significant roles. For several years in a row, he remained in the background. Finally, the image of a psychopath in the 1981 film "Fan" turned out to be quite successful. Two years later, Bean starred in another experimental film, Lords of Discipline. On one of the movie sites, the actor met with the then aspiring director James Cameron, who approved him for one of the main roles in the upcoming fantastic epic "The Terminator".
Success in cinematography
Unexpectedly for everyone, the 1984 film, which also starred the famous action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger and the future conqueror of the audience's hearts, Linda Hamilton, really fell in love with the public, and it paid for itself many times in a wide box office, marking the beginning of a franchise that continues to this day. Michael Bean himself did not appear in subsequent parts, but his character became an integral part of them.
In 1986, the actor, with Cameron's recommendation, played in the next cult science fiction film Alien, and in 1989, James re-approved Bean in his picture The Abyss, which won an Oscar for best visual effects. The subsequent roles of Michael were no longer so significant, and the artist took part in the filming less and less often. He has appeared in the films The Rock, The American, and Planet of Fear.
