Tom Shengley (full name Thomas Lee Shengley) is an American theater and film actor, screenwriter and producer. He starred in many popular projects: Castle, Dexter, Ambulance, Marine Police: Special Department, Criminal Minds, Courage in Battle, Graceland, S. W. A. T.: Special Forces of the City of Angels.
In the creative biography of the actor, there are about 70 roles in television and film projects. In 2006, Shengli served as an executive producer and co-writer of the crime thriller A Simple Business. He has another script ready - "Head High", which he wrote with his friend John Lindstrom.

Tom was born in the United States in the spring of 1961 in an ordinary family. His parents had nothing to do with art. They tried to give the boy an excellent upbringing and hoped that his son would receive a good education and build a career in business. When Tom expressed a desire to become an actor, the family did not approve of his decision and tried to dissuade his son from a rash act. But Shengli was increasingly attracted to creativity. As a result, he realized that he wanted to devote his further life to the acting profession.
Tom became interested in theater during his school years. When he was 13 years old, the boy took part in a musical production of a local theater, playing a small part of a chorus. After 2 years, he again got a role in the play, but already more significant.
One of the leading actresses of the theater once asked the young man if he had ever thought about becoming an actor. After that, Tom pondered over her words for a long time and soon realized that he was really drawn to the stage, he wanted to continue working in the theater.
After completing his elementary education, Shengli attended the USC College of Dramatic Arts. He soon landed his first television role in the series Yellow Rose. From that moment on, Tom's professional acting career began in theater and cinema.

Personal life
Little is known about Shengli's personal life. He currently lives happily in Santa Monica with his chosen one, Lisa Jay Shanley. They became husband and wife in September 2015.
Tom loves to play sports and trains in the gym almost every day.
