Biography

Dmitry Pavlenko was born in Transbaikalia in 1971. When he was very young, his parents moved to Chita, and the childhood of the future actor was spent in this city. The head of the family worked as a geologist, he was often on expeditions, and later taught at the university. However, the romance of the explorers of the riches of the earth did not captivate Dmitry, because he was very fond of cinema.

As a child, he often went with his mother and sister to the cinema and completely immersed himself in this mysterious world that he saw on the screen. And he dreamed that someday he would be able to create something similar - he wanted to become a film director.

However, here's the paradox - after graduating from school, he went to get an education as a biologist at the University of Irkutsk. True, he did not enter, so he went to study at a cultural enlightenment school as a director of amateur performances. It was there that he realized that he wanted to become an actor.

In 1989, Dmitry went to Moscow with the intention of entering the Theater School named after I. Shchepkina. I prepared for a long time, carefully, I was worried a lot. And I was so determined that I did it the first time. As he himself said in one interview - apparently, the commission could not withstand such pressure.

After college, by a lucky chance, Pavlenko came to work at the Drama Theater. Ermolova, although accidents are not accidental, as we know. In his first performance on the stage of this theater, he played a small role, but showed all his capabilities and was highly appreciated by the director and colleagues. In the next performance, he already played one of the main roles in Levinsky's production “Wedding. Anniversary . The premiere of the performance was in 1994. More than twenty years have passed since then, and Dmitry Yuryevich continues to play in the performances of his native theater.

Film career

For the first time Dmitry starred in a movie at the age of thirteen - it was the role of the orphanage Vasya Kubik in the film "Garden".

In 1991, he starred in the youth melodrama "Sweet Ep", and the next year - in the series "ABC of Love" (1992-1994). Since 1998, Pavlenko has regularly appeared in feature films and TV series.

Personal life

With his future wife, actress Natalia Seliverstova, the actor first met in the theater, at a play. They did not immediately meet, but fate brought them together, and they became husband and wife. In 1997 they had a daughter, Polina, who became a very promising ballet dancer.

The spouses play together in the theater, they even have a joint performance, where they play all the roles.
