Biography
Christine Diane Teigen was born in the city of Delta in 1985. Her family is mixed: German and Norwegian blood flows in her father's veins, and her mother is from Taiwan. The head of the family often traveled from place to place for work, so Christine is familiar with many places in the country. When it was time for their daughter to go to school, the city of Huntington Beach became their place of permanent residence.
Teigen grew up a pleasant girl, but she didn't even think that she could become a model. She received a regular school education and got a job in a store. A local fashion photographer often came there, who invited her to a photo shoot and said that she could very well become a model.
Model career
And indeed - the physical data of Chrissy was quite enough to declare herself as a model. The girl went to New York, where she was immediately admitted to the agency "IMG models". Already in 2006-2007, she became a regular participant in various television shows.
However, this was a common thing for novice models. But when Teigen was noticed by a photographer from MAXIM, her career immediately took off: she began to be invited to cooperate with well-known world brands. And now she is already advertising products for Gillette Venus, Nike, Skullcandy, UGG Australia, Billabong, Beach Bunny Swimwear, Olay and many others.
She also willingly participated in charity companies, when famous brands raised funds to fight a particular disease.
Then her photo graced the pages of many sports publications, and later she even became the prototype of the heroine for a computer game.
However, the model had another interest that she could not forget about: she loved to cook very much. When they found out about this on television, they began to invite her to cooking shows. Teigen was first a visiting expert, and in 2013 she became the host of the show "Model Employee". This bizarre combination of modeling profession and culinary pursuits aroused great interest from the audience.
This job taught Chrissy to work on camera, and when she received an offer to star in the comedy Inside Amy Schumer (2013- …), she willingly agreed - it was a new experience. And in 2015, she starred in the Mindy Project series as a guest star.
Personal life
Chrissy met her future husband, actor John Legend, on the set of the music video for "Stereo" in 2005. They immediately realized that they have a lot in common: interests, profession, and … cooking. It turned out that John also loves to cook.
However, they got married only six years later. Now the couple have two children - a daughter and a son.
