Professional career

Tom's debut as a film actor took place in the TV series Emmerdale Farm (1972- …) in a small role. Despite the fact that it was an episode, he soon received an invitation to star in the TV series "Catastrophe" (1986- …). It was a good experience for the young actor, and he became firmly convinced that cinema is his path. And the video of his dance was posted on YouTube and received a lot of approving reviews. This prompted the actor to continue dancing. This is probably why there are not so many films in his filmography, and the breaks between them are significant. After all, dance rehearsals take a lot of time and effort, and you also need to perform in various shows and concerts.

However, he occasionally appears in TV series and feature films. So, in 2004, he starred in the film "Deceivers" with real celebrities: Matthew Reese and Kate Ashfield. According to the plot, the main character owes a lot of money to the leader of a criminal gang and must somehow get out of this situation, that is, get a lot of money in a short time. Adventures, dangerous situations and the most unexpected turns of their lives await friends. But it's not for nothing that the film is called "The Deceivers". Therefore, at the end, viewers will see how some scammers deceived others without arousing any suspicion.

It was a very interesting role: the character of Chambers was revealed gradually, imperceptibly turning into a cruel person. And when his actions became incompatible with the behavior of the teacher, he was expelled from school.

In 2014–2015, Chambers portrayed Inspector Sullivan in the BBC film Father Brown in two episodes. It was already a different role, a new interesting role, which brought a lot of new things to the actor's experience.

Personal life

This episode in the life of an actor is more like a movie than real life. In December 2000, the plane on which Chambers was flying was hijacked by a terrorist. It was Paul Mukoni, 27, mentally ill from Kenya. He burst into the Boeing 747 cockpit and demanded a change of course. While the pilots fought with him, the plane lost altitude and risked falling. However, the pilots managed to regain control of the aircraft, and all passengers landed safely. Chambers called it "the most horrific experience of my life." It was this incident that made him find his girlfriend Claire Harding and propose to her.

Tom and Claire got married in October 2008 in Derbyshire and have been together ever since. They have two children: William, born in May 2011, and Olive, born in August 2014.
