We can make our contribution to environmental protection by replacing disposable items with reusable ones.

1. Disposable T-shirt bags in stores are perfectly replaced with string bags, shopping bags, backpacks and other reusable options. And a regular package can be used several times.

2. Plastic bags for food and other. Today, for example, in stores, packaging bags are freely available. A reusable alternative to them is the so-called "fruit", which is a bag made of thin, transparent fabric that can be washed. In addition, some products do not require packaging at all. So, if you need to buy one fruit or vegetable, it is quite possible to weigh them without a bag and stick the price tag directly on the product.

3. Disposable sponges for washing dishes, for cleaning the bathroom. Foam synthetic sponges can be replaced with fabric, jute, and other reusable sponges made of natural material. Their big plus is that they last longer.

4. The same goes for washcloths. Synthetic washcloths can also be replaced with those made from natural materials (foam, jute, and others).

In addition, such washcloths are pleasant to wash, and they also perfectly replace body scrubs, since their surface is usually quite hard.

5. Plastic bottles. They can be replaced with glass and other reusable ones. Even disposable ones can be used multiple times in order to avoid buying them each time and not increasing the amount of discarded plastic every day.

6. Today, the disposal of a large number of disposable masks and gloves is becoming relevant. During a pandemic, a lot of both are thrown away. Undoubtedly, such recommendations will not work for doctors. And for ordinary people, there are reusable masks that are perfectly washed and ironed. Gloves can be worn several times.

7. Disposable razors. Such things are being replaced by reusable razors, electric razors, trimmers that can be used for a long time.

8. Disposable tableware. It is fashionable to replace it with a reusable one: containers, thermo mugs, reusable straws for drinks and other options are suitable. So, some coffee shops even offer discounts if you come with your mug. And for a picnic, you can take sets of reusable plastic dishes, which can then simply be washed and used for a long time.

There are a lot of such replacement options. It is worth looking around and understanding how many disposables we use. So, using reusable things, we create a saving of resources, we produce less waste, including non-recyclable ones, and, accordingly, we switch to conscious consumption. And this is a big step towards preserving the environment for the future.
