Biography
In the small German town of Vppertal in April 1952, the future vocalist Udo Dirkschneider was born. The boy's family was rich, she owned the production of technical parts and tools. The parents constantly pampered the child with luxurious gifts, and one of these practically turned Udo's life.
As a child, he dreamed of becoming a cook, preparing meals for the team and traveling constantly. But when he was presented with a record of the legendary Beatles, the boy became seriously interested in music. In 1964, he was presented with a good cassette recorder, on which he first heard another popular band - The Rolling Stones. The music of the "rolling" differed from the "Beatles" in a heavier sound and began to attract the young Udo more.
In 1966 he, looking up to his idols, decided to take up music. Having a simple synthesizer model and a tutorial, Udo Dirkschneider mastered the keyboard instrument on his own. After that, he and his friends decided to create a musical group, but any group needs a singer who was not among the guys. Dirkschneider decided to try himself in a new role and for good reason, he really liked to sing, and from that moment he became the frontman of the newly-minted band, which was called Band X.
Career
The teenage passion for music and the band X, which was created, grew into the famous Accept, which appeared in 1971. It was with this group that Udo became world famous. Dirkschneider spent 15 fruitful years at Accept, but with the advent of new trends, the group decided to focus on commercial and popular music. This decision strongly disagreed with Udo, and he left the group, creating his own project U. D. O. Thanks to its name, which at that time was already known to many fans of the hard scene, the new project quickly gained its army of fans.
The group broke up several times amid creative disagreements, but today the team exists and continues to delight fans with new creations. The last U. D. O album released dates from 2018. In total, the famous team has seventeen recorded albums.
Personal life
Udo Dirkschneider is married. He met his chosen one Erica in a bar, the girl did not even suspect that Udo was a famous rock musician, she found out about this much later. The couple got married in 1987 and over the years in marriage they had two children, a son and a daughter.
The famous musician is very sensitive to Russia, he adores Russian culture and nature. He often comes to St. Petersburg, where he has his own apartment, and lives there for several weeks or months. The "rocker" even has several songs performed in Russian: "Calm" together with the "Aria" group and his own song "Soldier is crying".
