Jess McAllan was born on August 9, 1982 in Sarasota, Florida (USA). Jess is the oldest of seven children in the family. She has three sisters and three brothers. Macallan developed an interest in art at an early age, she studied dance from the age of three for twenty years and is still practicing today.

The actress attended the University of Florida and received her BA in International Marketing. After that, she studied in absentia at the prestigious Bocconi University in Milan.

The actress and her husband met at the Florida Film Festival, Jess was 23 at the time. The couple lived together for five years. In 2017, Jess and Jason's relationship escalated and the couple filed for divorce. After the divorce, the actress was no longer in a serious relationship.

Macallan is very fond of animals. The actress has two pets: an Australian Shepherd and a Yorkshire Terrier.
