All people strive for happiness, and everyone has their own idea of it. Human health, safety, food and shelter are vital. Love, achievement and well-being are already individual wishes and goals. How does a believer perceive happiness?
Instructions
Step 1
The Christian religion is based on the idea of original sin, due to which real happiness became impossible during life. Once Adam and Eve broke the commandment of the Lord and were expelled from paradise. Subsequent generations are forced to bear this cross. Jesus accepted the torment of crucifixion for the sins of mankind, and a Christian must humbly treat his fate. God gives everyone such a cross that they can afford. A true Christian must be pure in thought, free from sins, and filled with love for others. A person's strength is in the ability to forgive insults and not resist evil. Happiness for a Christian consists in strengthening faith, spiritual perfection, and a humble attitude towards life. Observing these conditions, he can become truly happy in the afterlife. After the Last Judgment, the Lord will send all the wicked to burn in hell, and the righteous people will go to heaven, where bliss and peace of mind await them.
Step 2
The dominant ideas of Islam are obedience and a holy war for the faith. A feature of Islam can be called an inextricable link between religion and social and political life. A Muslim must humbly relate not only to the will of Allah, but also to power, "for it is from God." Sharia describes the norms of behavior of its citizen in all life situations. The set of rules calls for unification and brotherhood of believers, as well as assistance to all in need. For a Muslim, happiness lies in faithful beliefs, unblemished honor, and rational satisfaction of the needs of the mind and body. If a believer has a sense of his own dignity, a bright mind and honors the laws of the Koran, he can be called happy. Unquestioning obedience to the will of Allah gives the Muslim hope for justice and eternal bliss after death.
Step 3
The basis of Buddhism is the principle of rebirth, the idea of retribution or punishment (karma) and the need to adhere to the righteous path. The correct way of thinking and behaving gives a chance for a happier life after rebirth. The meaning of a Buddhist's life is liberation from desires and submission to fate, because it is the result of unseemly actions in the past. By giving up excess desires, a person can come to a true understanding of things and get rid of inevitable suffering.
Step 4
Much attention is paid to the current life in Buddhism. It is important to be able to indulge in the contemplation of the world and strive for an individual search for truth. The very understanding of happiness lies in achieving an enlightened state of mind and finding the soul of peace. This can be achieved by following the "middle path" - not going to extremes and focusing on the favorable. If a Buddhist strives for spiritual perfection, freeing the mind from thoughts and using self-control, then he is already on the way to his happiness.
