Childhood and youth
There were times when in small towns, of which there were many hundreds in the Soviet Union, boys grew up and matured in the same conditions. In the 60s, each of them dreamed of learning to play the guitar. Amateur and pop songs sounded at all latitudes from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad. Childhood and adolescence of Sergei Azarov passed to the sound of guitar strings and drums. The fact is that he began his musical career as a drummer in a school vocal and instrumental ensemble. The future songwriter was born on March 26, 1957 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived in the famous city of Podolsk. My father worked as an excavator in a construction trust. Mother worked as an engineer-estimator in the planning department. Sergei turned out to be the third child in the house. He was not pampered, but prepared for an independent life. They taught me to work. Azarov studied well at school, but he did not have enough stars from the sky. From the third grade he began to seriously study music. At the same time he mastered the technique of playing the trumpet at a music school.
Professional activity
After graduating from school, Sergei firmly decided to get a specialized education at the Moscow Regional School of Music. He was accepted into the class of percussion instruments. After receiving his diploma, in 1975, Azarov was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces. It fell to him to serve in the missile forces. Even in the harsh everyday life of the army, he managed to create his own ensemble, with which he performed at the regional television competition in the city of Volgograd. Returning to his native Podolsk, Sergei continued to engage in musical creativity. He played as part of a musical group in restaurants and at special events.
For more than six years Azarov has been on the staff of the Rosconcert musical association. In 1994, Sergei was invited to the cult group "Lesopoval", which performed under the leadership of the poet Mikhail Tanich. For the Podolsk drummer, it was a good school of skill and mutual benefit. During this period, Azarov formed as a vocalist. After a while, he created his own group, which he called "Koresha". He wrote lyrics and music himself. The group successfully toured all regions of Russia. During this time, Sergey has recorded five author's albums.
Recognition and privacy
For his great contribution to the development of musical art, the name of Sergei Azarov is included in the encyclopedia book "Who's Who in Russian Chanson".
The personal life of the author-performer did not develop immediately. The first marriage broke up three years later. The daughter stayed with her mother. The second time Azarov got married in 2010. A year later, a son appeared in the family. The husband and wife live in Podolsk on a permanent basis. Sergey often takes his wife and son with him when he goes on tour.
