A Russian citizen who has been called up for military service, released from military service or transferred to the reserve must be issued a military ID. Unfortunately, not everyone gets it right. It becomes necessary to verify the authenticity of such documents.

Step 1
Check the military card account at the commissariat. It is a document of strict accountability, and the lack of information that the owner received it personally against signature gives reason to consider such a ticket invalid. If a military ID is obtained in a different way, the person will be listed in the military registration and enlistment office as a citizen subject to conscription.
Step 2
It is possible to check the authenticity of a military ID only at the commissariat itself, where the citizen is registered with the military. Write an application addressed to the military commissar for the issuance of the draft decision made earlier. Or send an application for the issuance of a military ID by registered mail with a delivery receipt. If you receive an answer that the ticket was issued earlier, then it can be considered authentic. Any other answer would mean the opposite. A copy of the decision of the draft board must be sent within 10 days from the date of receipt of the application by the commissariat.
Step 3
Look at the entries on the military ID. If possible, compare them with the marks in the personal file of a citizen fit for combat service or removed from military registration. It should not contain any corrections, inconsistencies and inaccuracies. The absence of separate sheets is also unacceptable. If such violations are found in the military cards of citizens, inform the military registration and enlistment office for appropriate measures. In case of temporary withdrawal of a military ID, a receipt is issued to the owner.
Step 4
Provide the details of the military ID to the military commissariat to make a reconciliation of credentials. There is a chance of detecting a fake military ID if the serial number is listed as destroyed. In some cases, they check the archival records in the military unit where the owner of the document served.
Step 5
Order a technical and forensic examination, with the help of which you can establish the method of making a ticket, the authenticity or copying of signatures, impressions of stamps or seals.
