It is not easy to get a veteran title in modern Russia, all the more it is annoying to lose or spoil the certificate confirming this status. If this does happen to you, contact the social security authorities to get a duplicate.

Instructions
Step 1
Write a free-form statement to your local social welfare agency. In the text, indicate the circumstances of the loss of the document or the reasons for which it became unusable, and ask to issue a new one.
Step 2
Attach your 30x40 mm photo to your application and take the entire package of documents on the basis of which you were previously awarded the title of "Labor Veteran". If during the time that has passed since the title was awarded, there have been any changes in your personal data, attach more documents confirming the new data.
Step 3
Take the documents in person to your local social welfare office. Wait while the employee checks your data and prepares a certificate for issuing you an identity card. Based on this certificate, an employee of your regional body of social protection will have to send a package of documents for issuing you a duplicate to the higher authorized body of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development. It may take several days to prepare such a package of documents. If for some reason you cannot come personally to the local department of the social security authorities, an application for a duplicate with all the necessary documents can be sent by registered mail.
Step 4
Wait until the bodies of the Ministry of Social Development decide to issue you a duplicate of the "Labor Veteran" certificate. The preparation and issuance of documents takes place in the same order as the receipt of the primary certificate, so the result may well have to wait more than one day. The head of your regional representative office of social protection should control the formation of the package of documents, so in case of any overlaps, contact him.
Step 5
Come to your local social welfare office on the appointed day to get your certificate ready. The form of the new document will be marked “Duplicate. Instead of a series certificate … No. … . Take the documents that you submitted to the social security authorities, sign for a new ID and keep it.
