In 1995, Alexei finally realized that he would not be able to reveal himself as a musician in Kazan. He decided to conquer show business in Moscow. I decided on a job in commerce. He earned his initial capital and in 1996 released his first full-length album "Don't Cry, Anyuta". It is largely associated with the Kazan period of A. Stepin's life, written, as he says, from fresh feelings and memories.
1997 brought an acquaintance with the producer A. Tolmatsky, who offered him a kind of "Russian project". The album was called "Guli-guli". Many songs in it have a Russian folk bias. Stepin often says that it came out quite naturally. After his stay in Ryazan, he developed a growing accent. When he started recording the songs, that flowing intonation remained. It turned out quite interesting and original. This was exactly what A. Tolmatsky liked, and in 1998 the album appeared and, as Stepin says, “went to the people”.
Since 2000, A. Stepin has begun to "freely float" in musical creativity. He writes, collaborates, tours, relaxes with friends and companions. So he calls fans of his work. He communicates with many on websites and on social networks.

A. Stepin's main principle is to sing his own songs. Even in his youth, playing in ensembles, he could only perform his own songs.
He almost does not write songs to order, but he allows other singers to perform his songs. Works with performers who really need songs as songs, and not as a tool to earn money. For about seven years he worked with a Kazan singer who achieved success. The song "Cranes", created by A. Stepin, brought luck to the singer. She became an honored artist of Tatarstan. A.
