Serhiy Rebrov is a famous Ukrainian sportsman, footballer and striker. At the moment he is the head coach of FC Ferencvaros.
Biography
Sergey Rebrov was born on June 3, 1974 in the Donetsk region, namely in the city of Horlivka.
From childhood, the boy really liked to play football, and at the age of 7, Sergei began to study in the football section. Sergei was a very disciplined boy, he always came to trainings on time.
Professional career
In 1990, Serhiy signed a contract with Shakhtar Donetsk, which played in the Ukrainian Premier League. In the 1990/1991 season, Sergei took part in 7 matches and was able to score two goals. In the 1991/1992 season, Rebrov entered the field 19 times and scored 10 goals.
In 1992, the footballer was offered to move to FC Dynamo, which was located in Kiev. Sergey spent 8 years at Dynamo, the player participated in 189 games and was able to score 93 goals.
Career in the English Premier League
In 2000, Rebrov was offered to move to Tottenham Hotspur FC. The Dynamo management did not want to part with Rebrov, but nevertheless agreed to sell him for 10 million pounds.
Having moved to a new club, the player immediately got into the main team, the coach was confident in the young player. For Tottenham Hotspur, Rebrov had 59 meetings and was able to score 10 goals.
In 2002, the team changed its head coach, Sergei could not find a common language with him. The coach did not like the football player's game, and he decided to give Sergey on loan.
In 2002, Rebrov, on loan, entered the location of FC Fenerbahce. In Fenerbahce, the player played 38 matches, but managed to score only 4 goals.
In 2004, Rebrov moved to West Ham United. The coaches expected an excellent game from the player, but Sergey could not live up to the expectations of the coaches, in 27 matches the player scored only 1 goal.
Homecoming
In 2005, West Ham United broke the contract with Sergei. Two months later, the player returned to the location of Dynamo Kiev. Sergey spent three seasons at Dynamo, he participated in 53 matches and was able to send 20 goals into the opponent's goal.
In 2008, the player moved to FC Rubin, which played in the Russian Premier League. Rebrov participated in the 31st match and managed to score 5 goals. In 2009, Sergei decided to end his career as a professional footballer. A month later, Sergei was appointed assistant coach of FC Dynamo.
