Andrei Borisovich was born in Moscow in 1950, on September 20. His mother was a teacher at the university, his father was an engineer and artist.
After leaving school, Andrei entered the Moscow Printing Institute, where he studied the basics of publishing and editorial activities. In 1972 he graduated from this university.
Then Sholokhov worked in his specialty, at the same time he studied at the Military-Political Academy at the Faculty of Journalism. He finished his studies in 1982.
Career
A graduate of the Moscow Printing Institute Sholokhov AB went to work in a publishing house. There he was executive secretary, head of the department of such magazines and newspapers as "Soviet Military Review", "Equipment and Armaments".
In 1994, Sholokhov became editor-in-chief of the print edition "Vuzovskie Vesti", which is published under the supervision of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
In 1999, the already famous writer received the title of Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation. And just a year later, he is awarded another regalia. So, in 2002, AB Sholokhov was awarded the title of Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation.
In the fall of 2015, the writer, who made a great contribution to the promotion of the newspaper "Vuzovskie Vesti", was awarded a diploma for his loyalty to the traditions of the family, for his activities in the development of Russian education and the preservation of national culture.
Creation
Andrei Borisovich says that his family Sholokhov originates in Zaraysk. Hence the famous writer Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov. Perhaps these writers are distantly related.

Another relative of Andrei Borisovich - Pyotr Ivanovich Sholokhov was an artist. It was his works and his father that the writer brought to the Kramskoy Museum and the P. I. Sholokhov Gallery in the fall of 2009.
Andrei Borisovich himself wrote and published a book dedicated to the commander Mikhail
Skobelev. The author's idea for this creation arose back in 1989. But he created his work later.
The brochure tells about Mikhail Dmitrievich Skobelev, a famous Russian general, with whom at the end of the 19th century they pinned the hopes of getting out of the Russian political crisis of that time. The death of this man is shrouded in mystery, which Andrei Borisovich is trying to reveal.
