Childhood

Ukrainian musician, vocalist, composer and leader of the Vopli Vidoplyasova group Oleg Skrypka was born on May 24, 1964 in Khodjent (Tajikistan). Oleg's mother is Anna Alekseevna, she comes from a small village in the Kurshchyna region, and Yuri Pavlovich's father is from a farm in the Poltava region. My father graduated from the Kiev Medical Institute, where he received the specialty of a radiologist, a specialist in radiation sickness. Undergraduate practice took place in the mining town of Bryanka. There he met Oleg's mother, who, having arrived from Russia, worked as a kindergarten teacher. They merried. When my father received his diploma, we went on assignment to Khujand.

In kindergarten and at home, the young Skrypka was the number one artist at all the holidays. Oleg's mother was professionally engaged in raising her son and laid a good creative foundation; singing, dancing, reading poems from the age of 4. Also, the upbringing program included household chores - cleaning, taking out the trash, and even on Sunday morning, when his parents got enough sleep after a week of work, an independent boy ran with a can to the store for milk and buns …

The family lived in Khujand for seven years, and the Eastern civilization subsequently affected his creativity and perception of the world. After all, Tajikistan is a bright exoticism - Islam, women in burqas, oriental architecture, luxurious bazaars selling pomegranates, grapes, huge watermelons and fragrant melons … The family lived on the outskirts of the city, then the desert began, and beyond it could be seen the tops of the Pamirs. In April, the mountains were all covered with poppies, tulips and turned red like carpets. The first music that Oleg heard was the national music of the Middle East.

From time to time, Oleg recalls, the city shook from earthquakes. As soon as the windows began to vibrate, quickly we, children from kindergartens and schools, were taken away from the buildings. The climate in Tajikistan is incredibly hot. In summer, it can reach forty-five degrees in the shade. In the end, the parents decided to move. They went to the Far North, where they settled in the center of the Kola Peninsula - in the city of Kirovsk, Murmansk region. Therefore, the second part of Oleg's childhood is associated with snow from October to June and a short polar summer lasting a month and a half. Small Skrypka then mastered hockey, skating, cross-country and downhill skiing. Coming home from school, Oleg in the courtyard with the boys built underground cities and fortresses from snow boulders.

At school, Oleg studied for fives. The exact sciences - physics, mathematics - were especially easy for him. He won school competitions and regional olympiads. However, for behavior often received unsatisfactory. From the second grade, Oleg went to a music school and later learned to play briskly rock and roll on the button accordion.

In the ninth grade, Oleg entered the correspondence school of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and graduated with honors. It was believed that this is a guarantee of admission to a prestigious university in the USSR. After graduation he left to enter the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Despite the huge competition, I got a passing mark. But there were too many people like him from the “periphery”, and Oleg was “cut off” at an additional interview. He was angry, but not upset. And he realized "plan B", immediately went to Kiev and entered the KPI at the radio engineering faculty. The high score of the school certificate allowed him to take only two exams. For the first exam in mathematics, Skrypka received an A, which meant automatic admission. It turned out that there were only two such applicants.. In parallel with his studies, he begins to play in a rock band and attend a theater studio and student theater

In the hostel on Metallistov Street, a "commune" of like-minded aesthetes who were fond of music, theater, and gastronomy formed among young people. They cooked delicious meals, had full-service dinner parties and non-alcoholic birthdays. And then they opened a disco in the hostel, where they not only danced, but also held themed evenings.

"Vopli Vidoplyasov"

One evening in 1986, when Oleg was sitting in a hostel writing his diploma, Alexander Pipa and Yuri Zdorenko came to him. So the group "Vopli Vidoplyasova" was formed.

In 1986, after graduating from KPI, Oleg almost ended up on assignment to Severomorsk - a closed town of military sailors. The Violin was saved from this solely by his skill. He quickly went to the personnel department of the Kiev NPO Kvant and said that he dreamed of working there. Soon the application came to the dean's office, and Oleg was sent to the “Kvant” mailbox. Thus, Oleg stayed in Kiev, became an engineer with a salary of 100 rubles and got a dorm room five minutes from work. At work, the guy was engaged in the development of GPS systems for the USSR Navy and at the same time wrote music and lyrics. I wrote a bunch of songs in three years.

From 1991 to 1996, Oleg Skripka lived with VV in France and toured the country extensively. In just two months, Oleg learned French and soon married a French woman.

Oleg devoted a lot of time to the theater, twice performed at the famous Avignon Festival, which is the largest theatrical event in Europe. Helped the legendary Manu Chao to organize his rock festival. The violin danced in the performances "Decadex" and "Music Box" by the famous French choreographer Philippe Decouflet. By the way, “Spring” was performed for the first time in the play “Decadex” in Ukrainian, and in the “Music Box” - “Burned Pine”, which Skrypka sang together with the dancers. Then this song was included in the album "Muzyka" performed by these very French dancers.

1996 Violin returns to Kiev and since then has been actively giving concerts in Ukraine and abroad, regularly visits Moscow. He played the main role in the New Year's musical "Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka". Becomes one of the co-founders of UMPO, created to provide legal support to musicians and fight pirates. 2004 Oleg Skrypka becomes one of the organizers of the Kraina Mriy festival. He is also engaged in publishing and educational activities. 2007 in the project "Dancing with the Stars - 2" on the TV channel "1 + 1" Oleg Skrypka showed outstanding dancing talents and won a prestigious second place.

Personal life

Oleg's first wife was Marie Rebo, who was the administrator of the BB group. Subsequently, Oleg officially divorced the Frenchwoman Marie (they lived for seven years - and could not cross the difficult border, probably because of Oleg's professional activities, and Marie could not adapt to Ukraine).

With his second wife, Ukrainian Natasha, Skrypka lives in a civil marriage and has two sons - Roman (2005) and Ustim (2008) - and two daughters - Olesya and Zoyana. He really wants his sons to become musicians, but time will tell. In the meantime, the guys go to early development schools, learn languages, go in for swimming.

Now Oleg and his family live in a large house in Kiev itself, where nature and everything a civilized person can strive for: the yard is full of greenery, there is a barbecue, a swing for children, and around there is silence, which is only broken by birds, roosters and dogs, and guests who come to them very often, and from different countries of the world. For the guests, Oleg prepares pilaf - real, amber, crumbly - as tasty as he learned from his mother.

Oleg Skrypka wants his family to stay in Ukraine - a beautiful developed European country. And in order for her to really become like that, he does everything in his power. "I am sure that soon we will all begin to live better!"
