One of the main requirements of Islam is regular prayer. This is the name of a strictly regulated order of prayer. It is prescribed to turn to Allah five times a day - at dawn, at noon, in the afternoon, at the end of the day and at night. It is believed that a Muslim who correctly performs prayers is forgiven all minor sins. In addition, namaz is considered a beneficial physical exercise for the body and a release for accumulated emotions.
Instructions
Step 1
Namaz is allowed to be performed only by adults, mentally healthy Muslims. For women, there are days when it is not necessary to do namaz - during menstruation and after childbirth.
Step 2
The place where you are going to do namaz must be clean. So are your clothes and your body. The body is cleansed by ritual washing. Usually, the so-called small ablution is enough - to wash your face, hands, feet. Remember that there are some actions that will completely nullify your cleansing. For example, if after ritual water procedures and before performing namaz you fall asleep, lose consciousness or taste camel meat, you will have to do ablution again.
Step 3
In some cases, it is required to perform a large ablution - ritual bathing. Islam prescribes to completely wash before prayer in the following cases: after intercourse, women - after the end of the "critical days" and after childbirth. The large ablution process is strictly regulated. It is supposed to do all the actions, facing Mecca, read certain prayers, start ablution on the right side of the body, save water.
Step 4
If there is no water at hand or there is too little water, Islam allows sand cleaning. To do this, touch the clean sand with your hands, blow it off your palms and wipe your face with your hands.
Step 5
Immediately before performing namaz, you should have an intention to do this in your soul. Intention is one of the main conditions for the correct performance of namaz. As with a large ablution, your face should be turned towards the sacred Kaaba in Mecca. Cover those parts of the body that are ordered to be closed.
Step 6
During prayer, a certain surah of the Qur'an is recited. It is required to pronounce all words and sounds without distortion. Before doing namaz, it is better to listen to the sound of the surah from the mouth of an experienced Muslim.
