Searching for a vocation
The future famous vocalist was born in 1980, on May 16, in the town of Ivatsevichi. The girl grew up as a cheerful child. Music was often played at home. The older sister and brother attended a music school.
Olya's abilities showed up early. In kindergarten, the baby participated in matinees, and at home she tripled concerts. From the age of six, Plotnikova entered both a general education and a music school.
It was interesting and easy for her to study. In addition, the girl herself enrolled in several circles. In 1989 Olga became a member of the choreographic group at the House of Culture. She gave concerts in its composition, participated in various competitions.
Plotnikova Jr. sang for the first time at the wedding of her older brother at the end of 1990. The success was enormous. In 1993 Olya began to study vocals in the ensemble of the Children's House of Creativity and play keyboards. Solo performances began.
New experience gradually came. Fans appeared. Olga realized that her vocation was a stage. She dreams of singing professionally.
The hard way to a dream
More complex dance and vocal classes began. An aspiring performer tried herself in various competitions, received prizes.
Olga enrolled in a theater group to improve her acting skills. In 1995 she decided to enter a pop school. Parents took their daughter's decision negatively. As a result, she moved to the tenth, not giving up the dream of singing.
The girl prepared herself on her own, participated in concerts, proving her abilities. Finally, the parents agreed. In 1997, the girl became seriously ill. She could not get into the university.
The future singer ended up in the hospital for a long time. The dream was crumbling before our eyes. I had to gather all my strength to get a certificate and come to the exams. Due to an incredible competition, admission was not possible. Parental support was very helpful.
Plotnikova went to study at the Pedagogical University at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, choosing biology as her future specialty. Olga ended up in the student theater "Beton". As part of it, she played in performances, participated in festive events.
At the end of February 1998, the happy stage of the vocalist's biography began. Friends recommended that she attend an audition at the Red Stars studio. Olga successfully passed the selection, becoming a soloist. It was there that she received considerable experience and concert baggage, and became the winner of many competitions. Finally, there she met her future husband, Gennady Markevich, a producer, composer, arranger.
Personal life and creativity
At the end of 2000 Olga Plotnikova went abroad for a couple of years in the pop ensemble "SPLASH". She did not interrupt the beginning romance with Markevich, she continued her studies at the BSPU. The singer returned to her homeland for a short time to write new compositions.
After completing work abroad on November 23, 2002, Olga and Gennady officially became husband and wife. Then the project "Olga Plotnikova" appeared. In early December 2002, Plotnikova made her debut. She performed on the main stage of the country.
The vocalist took part in the project "At the crossroads of Europe", sang "Two at the beginning". In 2003, new works began to appear. The songs were actively rotated, won the charts. The vocalist participated in television festivals, became loved and recognized by the audience.
In 2003 Plotnikova became a finalist of the song "Hit-Moment". She won in the "Premier Hit" category with the song "It Doesn't Matter". Real fame came with the song "They" in 2004. The composition has become the singer's calling card. The single also became her poetic debut. The song reached the top of the charts.
In the summer of 2004, the vocalist took part in a concert tour around the cities of the country, performed at the "Slavianski Bazaar". In the fall, the first video for the song "Somewhere" was shot.

Olga reincarnated as a girl going crazy without her beloved, and the actors of the Gorky Theater became the orderlies for the plot. The unusual approach made the number surprisingly popular. In June, the presentation of the album "Somewhere" took place. Several compositions were created by Olga herself, who proved her talent in creating lyrics for songs.
