In 1965, Vladimir Mikhailovich joined the Union of Artists of the USSR. Here he works until the eighties of the last century.

Despite his venerable age, Mikhailovsky does not stop working to this day. In 2006 he was elected a Corresponding Member. And since 2018 he is a full member of the Peter and Paul Academy of Arts.
