In February 1951, on the first day in the city of Moscow, the future musician Konstantin Nikolsky was born. From early childhood, the boy was in love with music, and when he was 12, the father decided to please his son, and together they went to buy a guitar. The first musical instrument of the talented musician cost the family budget 7 rubles 50 kopecks. Konstantin with special zeal mastered new chords and honed his guitar playing skills.

The band bore the teenage-pretentious name "Crusaders" and performed mainly cover versions of songs of famous rock bands. The musicians played mainly in various recreation centers and at small concert venues. An interesting fact: another no less famous Soviet musician Andrei Makarevich was inspired to create his own group after attending one of the performances of the "Crusaders".

After graduating from school, Konstantin applied to the university, but did not study there for a long time, he left his studies and went to serve in the army. While serving in the army, Nikolsky wrote the song "The Venetian Musician", which later received the laconic name "Musician" and became a real hit. After demobilization, the musician continued his creative activity in the company of his friends. The newly-minted rock band was dubbed "Shards of Sikorsky's Helicopter", the team's repertoire included the future hit "Musician", as well as several other songs written by Nikolsky in the army.
In 1974 Konstantin left the group and joined Stas Namin. Later there were several more groups before the legendary group "Resurrection" appeared. In 1979, the debut album was released, which included "The Musician" and "What the Night Bird Sings About". Despite the success of the record, the group broke up and "Resurrection" broke up. Later, Konstantin tried to revive the group, and even managed to record another album, but then the musicians dispersed again.
After the final collapse of "Resurrection" Konstantin Nikolsky collaborated with other representatives of the rock scene of that time: in 1987 he recorded an album of the same name with the Mirror of the World group, in 1993 he worked with the Rock Atelier, and several records were also released with the Festival ". Today, the musician is on a solo voyage, collects concerts and periodically pleases his fans with new songs.
