Chad Robert Krueger is a famous Canadian musician, vocalist and guitarist of the legendary rock band Nickelback. He also writes soundtracks for feature films and animation films.
Biography
The future musician was born in November 1974 on the fifteenth in the Canadian province of Alberta. At school, Chad studied poorly and was known as a real bully. He did not think about the future, and most likely everything would have ended in problems with the law, if not for the music. In middle school, he became seriously interested in hard rock and began to master the guitar on his own. Chad's first experience of performing appeared at school, even then he dreamed of becoming a rock star. After completing his secondary education, he firmly decided to connect his life with heavy music.
Career
When the aspiring rocker was nineteen years old, he invited his older brother Mike to create his own rock band. Their cousin Brandon took the place behind the drum kit. Another guitar was their mutual friend Ryan Peak. Before the group acquired its world-famous name, there were many other ideas. The first option named the newly formed team as POINT OF VIEW. Later, the laconic Brick and the rather ironic Village idiots were considered.
Time passed, but none of the announced names caught on. The solution suddenly came from the guys' daily life. The elder Kruger at the time worked in a local eatery, where they served coffee, which cost forty-five cents. Traditionally, it was paid for with a half-dollar coin, change in this calculation is five cents. In youth slang, this remainder was referred to as nickel, and nickelback literally meant "take your change." This version of the name came to the liking of all members of the group, and as a result, the world recognized the Canadian group under it.
For some time the group played other people's songs, but the guys understood: for real recognition they need their own material. To record their debut album, the brothers turned to their parents for help, who in fact became their first investors. The album was released in 1996 and was received warmly enough by the public.
In the early 2000s, the group recorded another album and set off to conquer America. Success came after recording the title tune for the movie "Spider-Man". Regular hitting the radio charts and being invited to various TV shows instantly lifted the young musicians to the skies.
Today the group is still popular and continues to record new albums. In total, Canadian musicians have ten records, the last of which was released in 2017.
Personal life
The famous musician in 2012 made an offer to the famous rock singer Avril Lavigne, to which she agreed. In the same year, a grand wedding took place. But the marriage did not last long, after three years the couple announced a divorce.
