Aydan Shener is a Turkish actress and model. Aidan is known to Russian audiences for her role as Feride in the melodramatic mini-series "Kinglet - Singing Bird". The project was released on the screens of our country in 1986 and won the hearts of millions of women. The film was based on the famous novel by Reshad Nuri Gyuntekin, which has become a world classic.
Aidan's creative biography began immediately after graduation. At the age of eighteen, Shener became the owner of the Miss Turkey title and went to represent her country in the Miss World competition. There she was able to take only second place, losing to a beauty from Venezuela.
Aidan worked for some time in a modeling agency and starred in commercials. Shener's film debut took place in 1983, and she played her famous role in the TV series "Kinglet - Singing Bird" at the age of twenty-three.

The girl was born in Turkey in the spring of 1963. Her ancestors from her father's side lived in Kazan and emigrated to Turkey in the 19th century.
Aidan's family lived modestly. My father studied the art of music and worked as a musicologist, and my mother was in charge of the household.
Aidan graduated from high school in the city of Bursa, where her family moved from Kilis. The attractive appearance of young Aidan allowed her to start early in the modeling business. Parents strongly supported the choice of their daughter and dreamed that their child would glorify the family and build an excellent career.
Glory came to the young beauty after winning the Miss Turkey contest. Aidan was chosen as the representative of the country for the world show of beauties "Miss World". However, in the competition, she was able to take only second place. But this did not stop the girl from becoming famous throughout the country, receiving many invitations from advertising and modeling agencies, as well as from film producers.
Film career
Shener's successful film debut took place in 1983. She starred in the title role in the TV series Little Boss.
Three years later, the girl was offered to play the main role that made her famous all over the world. Shener embodied on the screen the image of a young teacher Feride in the melodrama "Kinglet - a songbird". The script was written and directed by Osman F. Sedena.
After the release of the film, Shener became a star of Turkish cinema and began to receive invitations to new projects from famous directors. She starred in the films: "The Milky Way", "Branded Roses", "Two Faces of Istanbul", but the success that came to her at the very beginning of her career, Aidan was no longer able to achieve.
In the early 2000s, Shener, together with her father, visited Kazan, the land of her ancestors. She participated in the opening ceremony of the International Conference of Eurasian World Heritage Cities, which was held at that time in Tatarstan. Also, the actress talked a lot with representatives of art, attended a national holiday and a ball at the Tatar-Turkish Lyceum.
Aidan returned to Kazan three years later to take part in the closing ceremony of the Golden Minbar Film Festival, where she was invited by representatives of the organizing committee.
In 2013, it was planned to start filming the series "Stars of Bakhchisarai", which were supposed to take place in the Crimea. The actress was going to take part in a new project, but the filming process, which began in 2014, was suspended.
In recent years, Shener has not often been seen on screen. In 2016, she joined the television project Denise in My Heart, but a year later, due to some disagreements with the director, she left him.
Personal life
Aidan got married in 1983. The Turkish national team player Ayhan Akbin became her husband. A few years later, a daughter, Edge, was born in the family. After the birth of the child, relations between the spouses began to deteriorate. Ayhan did not want his wife to continue her acting career, because of which the girl, in his opinion, devoted little time to her family.
One day, my husband gave Aidan a burqa for his birthday. It was this gift that put an end to the relationship between the spouses. Shener filed for divorce, took her daughter and left for another city. After the divorce, Aidan took up raising her daughter. Edge received an excellent education and became a designer. Despite the fact that there were many men around Ayden who were ready to offer her a hand and a heart, she never married again.
Now Shener lives with his daughter and father in his own large and beautiful house, devotes all his free time to charity and filming in social advertising aimed at helping homeless and crippled animals.
