Biography

Ashley Nicole Simpson was born on October 3, 1984 in Waco, Texas, USA. Ashley's father, Joe Simpson, is a former priest (now he has changed his spiritual activity to the status of his daughter's personal manager), and his mother, Tina Ann (Drew), is a former teacher. The girl's family was very religious, so Ashley, along with her older sister Jessica Simpson, were brought up in severity. Little Ashley attended Prairie Creek Elementary School.

At the age of three, Ashley began to study ballroom dancing, and at the age of 11 she was admitted to the School of American Ballet in New York. As a schoolgirl, Ashlee Simpson suffered from an eating disorder, but her parents promptly paid attention to the girl's condition and forced her to take care of her health.

In 1999, the older sister, Jessica, signed a contract with a record company, and the whole family moved to Los Angeles. There Ashley began acting in commercials.
