Ashley Nicole Simpson Ross is an American actress, pop singer, dancer. She became famous in mid-2004 thanks to the success of her debut album Autobiography and the accompanying reality show The Ashlee Simpson Show.
Biography
Ashley Nicole Simpson was born on October 3, 1984 in Waco, Texas, USA. Ashley's father, Joe Simpson, is a former priest (now he has changed his spiritual activity to the status of his daughter's personal manager), and his mother, Tina Ann (Drew), is a former teacher. The girl's family was very religious, so Ashley, along with her older sister Jessica Simpson, were brought up in severity. Little Ashley attended Prairie Creek Elementary School.
At the age of three, Ashley began to study ballroom dancing, and at the age of 11 she was admitted to the School of American Ballet in New York. As a schoolgirl, Ashlee Simpson suffered from an eating disorder, but her parents promptly paid attention to the girl's condition and forced her to take care of her health.
In 1999, the older sister, Jessica, signed a contract with a record company, and the whole family moved to Los Angeles. There Ashley began acting in commercials.

From the age of 14, Ashlee Simpson began working as a dancer for her sister (Jessica Simpson was already very famous at that time) and accompanied her on tour (from 1999-2001).

Creation
In parallel with acting, Ashley began to try herself as a singer. In 2002, she recorded the song "Christmas Past, Present and Future" for the School's Out! Christmas.
One of her first songs, "Just Let Me Cry" (2003), became the soundtrack for Freaky Friday. At 19, Ashley signed to Geffen Records.
Released in 2004, the single "Pieces of Me" became one of the five hits in the United States and topped the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart based on the radio show.
While working on her debut studio album, Ashlee Simpson launched her own reality show, The Ashlee Simpson Show (2004-2005), about the process of writing, recording an album and her life outside of work. This show helped to promote the album "Autobiography", which was discussed in the recording. In the first two months of sales, the album managed to become three times platinum.
Ashley received the Fresh Face Award for her song “Pieces of Me” at the Teen Choice Awards on August 8, 2004.

The song “Pieces of Me” was played without incident, but when Ashley was about to perform the song Autobiography, the backing track of the same “Pieces of Me” sounded, Ashley was confused and left the stage. During the closing of the show, she appeared alongside presenter Jude Law and began to apologize, saying that the musicians mixed up the song.
On January 4, 2005, Ashley sang the song "La La" before the final match between the college football teams in Miami and was booed by nearly 78,000 spectators.
From mid-February to late April 2005, the singer embarked on a US tour. And on October 18 of the same year, the second album "I Am Me" was released.

In 2008, Ashlee Simpson married Pete Wentz, guitarist for Fall Out Boy, and took his last name. After that, the singer began performing under the name Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. They spent their honeymoon on the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean.
On November 20, 2008, almost immediately after the wedding, the couple had a boy - the Bronx Mowgli Wentz.
But in 2011, problems began in the family, and Ashley filed for divorce.
On August 30, 2014, Ashley married actor and musician Evan Rossom for the second time, whom she had met for thirteen months.
