From the biography of Vladimir Borodin

The future famous composer was born on January 18, 1966. His family was very fond of music. My father had a strong and beautiful voice. When he served in the army, he was even invited as a soloist to the Alexandrov ensemble.

As a teenager, Vladimir attended the conservatory. He especially liked the concerts of Svyatoslav Richter. The young man absorbed the creativity of Beethoven, marveling at the skill of the performer. At the age of 14, Borodin was already creating his first musical works - they were sonatinas and cantatas. The individuality of the author was clearly manifested in these compositions.

The perception of classical works, rare in strength, coupled with family traditions, contributed to the manifestation of Borodin's interest in the theater. In adulthood, together with the writer Svetlana Savitskaya, he worked on the children's musical "Ollie's Adventure in the Land of Tulips." The project involved the creation of a television version.

During his student days, Borodin became interested in jazz music. Alexander Kozlov became an idol for Vladimir. Subsequently, they worked together at the Arsenal music studio. Vladimir acted here as an arranger and sound engineer.

Creativity of Vladimir Borodin

A romantic outlook, emotional openness and spontaneity have always helped Vladimir to express a whole range of feelings in his creative works.

Vladimir Borodin and Nikolai Biryukov created the anthem of the village of Talezh, where the Voznesenskaya Davidova Hermitage and the holy spring are located. Together with Hieromonk Thaddeus Borodin recorded a disc based on N. Guryanov's "Word to the World".

Not so long ago, a disc was released based on the book of the rector of the temple "Unexpected Joy", priest Alexander Korolyov. The theme of this creative work is dedication to the Battle of Kulikovo. Later, a disc with the name "Bell Russia" saw the light. The album includes a dozen and a half songs dedicated to Orthodox Russia. These compositions, like much in Borodin's work, found their way to the hearts of music fans.

Borodin's jubilee creative evening took place in the capital of Russia. Alexey Glyzin, Lev Leshchenko, Irina Saltykova, Viktor Rybin, Natalia Senchukova, Sergey Chumakov and many other artists performed in front of a large audience. And each sang for the audience his own hit, written especially for him by Vladimir Borodin.

The songs, the music to which was written by Borodin, is known and sung by the whole country. These tunes are recognizable and almost always become hits. Here are just some of the most popular compositions by Vladimir Borodin:

Death of Vladimir Borodin

On October 29, 2018, Vladimir Borodin fell into a terrible disaster. The composer met his son and his wife at the airport, after which he took them to Moscow. As a result of a collision with another car, Vladimir died on the spot. His son and daughter-in-law were taken to hospital in critical condition.

Relatives and friends of Vladimir are in no hurry to comment on the reasons for the tragedy - the grief has not subsided yet. Probably, the driver lost control in difficult road conditions. Many fans of the composer's work expressed their sincere condolences to his family. An entire era in Russian music has passed away with Vladimir.

Many rightly considered Borodin the embodiment of modesty. This is a real intellectual. He was distinguished by a quiet voice, heartfelt intonations and soft irony, a little aloof democracy. The same applies fully to the composer's musical works. Borodin stayed away from the passions boiling in the world of music. He was never attracted by the avant-garde style.

Vladimir did not belong to music schools. He was not inclined to publicity. His inner strength found expression in music. Together with the composer, the listeners were transported to other worlds, witnessed another romantic story, distracted from everyday reality.

Vladimir Borodin maintained close ties with musicians from near and far abroad. Many of them turned to the maestro with offers of cooperation. In the last months of his life, the composer actively worked on the author's concert program. More than once he had a chance to perform on the same stage with his daughter Masha. Each such creative evening ended with constant ovations to the performer and the author of the music.
