Discerning people point out that it is only through collective efforts to achieve meaningful results in science. When a person claims that he "made" himself, he is either cunning or subconsciously imitates someone. Yuri Ivanovich Borodin since his student years has been studying the human lymphatic system. At one time, he was advised to tackle this topic by a doctor with great experience and an experienced teacher Konstantin Vladimirovich Romodanovsky. Following the example set, Borodin attracted young employees who aspired to become specialists in their field to the research and experiments.

The future academician was born on March 22, 1929 in a family of biologists. At that time, the parents lived in the city of Blagoveshchensk. Father and mother, graduates of an agricultural university, were engaged in the selection and zoning of legumes. In the summer of 1941, the Borodin family was evacuated to the famous city of Novosibirsk. Here in 1947 Yuri graduated from high school. He dreamed of becoming a doctor and decided to get a specialized education at a local medical institute. In 1953 he was awarded a red diploma in the specialty "medical doctor".

Professional activity

The promising graduate was invited to remain in graduate school. Borodin, with his inherent accuracy and observation, was involved in research activities from the first days. He worked in the laboratory a lot and with passion. In 1956 he defended his Ph. D. thesis and began lecturing to students. At the same time he continued to engage in experiments in the laboratory. A year later, he was transferred to the position of assistant professor of the Department of Normal Anatomy. In 1964, Yuri Ivanovich was appointed head of the department. And five years later he defended his doctoral dissertation.

Borodin's administrative career developed successfully. The scientist has established himself as a unique leader who is able to solve a problem of any complexity without conflict, but firmly. In 1971, Yuri Ivanovich was appointed rector of the Medical Institute. The graduates of this educational institution were distinguished by a high level of professionalism. And even today they can be found in the most remote corners of the country. In 1991, on the initiative of Borodin, the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Lymphology was created.

Recognition and privacy

Borodin's scientific work was highly appreciated by specialists and officials. For his great contribution to the development of the health care system, the scientist was awarded the Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, the Badge of Honor, and Friendship of Peoples.

The personal life of the scientist has developed well. He has been legally married since his student days. Husband and wife raised and raised two children - a son and a daughter. Yuri Borodin died in November 2018.
