Rain was born in the United States in the winter of 1966. His father was a famous writer, and his mother taught yoga at one of the sports clubs. The parents divorced when the boy was five years old; only his mother was engaged in his further upbringing.
The boy was attracted by creativity from childhood. Already in his school years, he began performing on stage. After completing his secondary education, Rain went to university and began to study dramatic art. In 1986, after receiving a bachelor's degree, the young man left Washington, where he lived with his mother, to New York to pursue a creative career.

Film career
Wilson got his first role in the melodramatic series One Life to Live, and then played in the movie The Expendables. These works did not bring success to the actor, but he began to receive invitations to new projects.
