To start receiving old-age pension, you need to draw up documents for assigning the appropriate status. The easiest way to do this is if you know exactly where and in what time frame you need to apply.

Step 1
Check at what age you are eligible to retire. If you have at least five years of work experience, then the relevant documents for a man should be drawn up at sixty years, for a woman at fifty-five. There are some exceptions, such as hazardous or physically demanding jobs, in which you are entitled to early retirement benefits. For people who have worked for less than five years, there is a social pension, and it is issued five years later than the regular labor pension.
Step 2
Collect the required package of documents. Get a certified employment record from the employer or the document itself if you are going to quit. You will also need a certificate of your salary for five years. They can be selected from any period of employment. It is advisable to choose the years when your income was the highest. When registering papers, a registration must be in the passport.
Step 3
If you are applying for a pension while living in another country, register at the Russian mission for consular registration. The certificate of pension insurance also belongs to the obligatory securities. Also, if the future pensioner has minor children or other dependents, you must present a document confirming this.
Step 4
Contact the branch of the Russian Pension Fund (PFR) at your place of residence. Its coordinates can be found on the organization's website, in the section dedicated to the regional offices of the foundation. Come to the FIU with all the collected papers and apply for a pension. You will be able to write it according to one of the samples presented in the FIU department. After reviewing the application, you will receive a pension certificate, and you will also be able to choose the method of receiving the money - to your bank account, by mail or home delivery.
