Photos are an obligatory attribute of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine. Several are needed. They are glued into the passport when a person reaches a certain age.
When photographs are pasted into a passport
As a general rule, in Ukraine 3 photographs are pasted into the passport. There are special pages for this. The first photo is placed upon receipt of the passport when the person is 16 years old. The second photo must be taken upon reaching the age of 25. The third photo is pasted in when the person is 45 years old. However, if the passport is being recovered after being lost or stolen, it may contain fewer photographs. In this case, the photo that corresponds to the person's age at the time of receiving a new passport will be pasted first.
Requirements for photographs
It is best to take 3 photos. Their size should be 3.5 x 4.5 centimeters. The photo should be taken on white or colored paper with no corners. The person should be photographed only in full face and without a headdress. If a person constantly wears glasses, then they should also be in them in the photograph. How to paste a photo
In order to paste the desired photo into your passport, you should contact the subdivision of the State Migration Service of Ukraine (former passport office) at your place of residence. You must have a passport and 2 photographs corresponding to a certain age. The procedure for pasting a photo takes on average 5 days. The fact that the photo is pasted in is made by the employee of the migration service in the passport. In addition, it is necessary to put your signature on the page with the pasted photo. There are no fees for inserting photographs into your passport.
What happens if the photo is not pasted on time
It is necessary to paste a new photo into the passport within 1 month after reaching the appropriate age. Otherwise, an administrative fine in the amount of 17 to 51 hryvnia may be imposed on the person. The amount of the fine may be affected by the delay period. As a rule, a decision in a case of an administrative offense is made by an employee of the migration service when submitting documents for pasting a photograph. However, in accordance with the legislation, non-payment of the fine is not a reason for refusing to issue a passport.
