Wesley Sneijder is a famous Dutch footballer who played for Real Madrid. Vice-world champion with the Netherlands national team in 2010.
Biography
June 9, 1984 in the city of Utrecht, the Netherlands, the future footballer Wesley Benjamin Sneijder was born. The boy's father played football professionally. Wesley followed in the footsteps of his dad and was soon able to break into one of the most prestigious football academies in the country, Ajax.
Playing for the youth team of the famous club, the guy was able to show good results and impressed the youth coach Danny Blind. He, in turn, recommended that the head coach of the main team take Wesley Sneijder into the first team.
Career
Upon reaching adulthood, Wesley signed his professional contract with Ajax. At the end of December 2002, he had already made his debut in the main squad in the national championship. In the first season, he did not appear in the lineup often, but his results allowed him to gain a foothold in the base from the next season. In total, for the Dutch club Wesley Sneijder played 180 matches in which he hit the opponent's goal 58 times. As part of Ajax, Sneijder became the champion of the Netherlands in 2004, twice won the country's cup and three times the super cup.
After successful performances for Ajax, the top clubs in Europe began to pay attention to Sneijder and in 2007 the club from Madrid Real made an offer that could not be refused. The talented midfielder cost the club 27 million euros. This amount automatically brought Sneijder to the second position in the list of the most expensive footballers from Holland, in the first place was the famous striker Van Nistelrooy (English club Manchester United paid 30 million for him in 2001).
At the royal club, the start was more than successful. The debut match was the Madrid derby against Atlético, in which Wesley Sneijder, hitting the opponent's goal, established the victorious result. As part of the “creamy” Wesley spent two fruitful seasons, in which he scored 11 goals. In 2008, he became the owner of the Spanish Super Cup and won the title of the champion of the country.
After the "creamy" there was another eminent club in Europe - the Italian "Inter". In four seasons with the team, he became the champion of Italy, twice won the national cup and the super cup. And in 2010, he was able to lift over his head the most prestigious trophy in Europe - the Champions League Cup. In the final of the tournament, "Inter" was able to finish with the Munich "Bavaria" with a score of 2-0.
After Inter, his career began to decline, and today the famous Dutchman plays in the Qatar championship for the Al-Garafa club.
Personal life and family
Wesley Sneijder is married to Yolanda Kabau. The wedding took place in 2010, and five years later the couple had a son whom they nailed Xess Xava.
