Every author wants his works to be appreciated. However, in order to find your grateful reader, works must be published and put on sale, and this presents certain difficulties for novice authors. However, it's not that hard to figure it out.

Step 1
A similar scheme can be seen in many films: the author sends his manuscript to all publishers known to him, and in response - silence, at best - tactful refusals. To prevent this from happening to you, you need to know some tricks.
Step 2
There are editors at the publishing house who read the authors' manuscripts and decide whether to discuss the release of this book with the sales department, or it is better to politely decline. Of course, the editor is much more willing to take up the manuscript of his friend, or the book recommended to him by a famous writer, than the work of an unknown person. Therefore, if you want to be noticed, think if you have acquaintances who could put in a word about you, and do not hesitate to ask them about it.
Step 3
There are publishers in which the initial work of the editor with the work (that is, reading the manuscript) is paid by the author himself. If you want to be sure that your book gets noticed and you have the financial resources, contact a similar publisher.
Step 4
Some publishers offer the following system of work. The author publishes his work in small circulation at his own expense, and the publishing house sells his books through its sales network. If the work sells well, then the publisher finances the publication of a large circulation of the book. Of course, when selling a small edition, printed at the expense of the author, he receives the proceeds from sales.
Step 5
If you decide to publish your work at your own expense, but would not like to spend a large amount of money on it, include your story in any series - it will cost much less. It can be a series of books called "Poetry", "New Classics", "Modern Science Fiction" - each publishing house has its own series. Check it out on the websites of publishers and decide where your work will look more appropriate.
