Barkeli was born in Canada in the summer of 1992. He has a sister, Victoria, and a brother, Mitchell. Victoria, like her older brother, also chose the creative path. She is a singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. The girl has already released several solo albums and starred in a dozen films and entertainment shows.
Barkeli from an early age became interested in creativity. He attended a choreography studio, where he learned to dance hip-hop, and for several years performed on the stage of musical theater in Canada. He also received a musical education: he plays drums, clarinet, trumpet and French horn.
When Duffield was 11 years old, he was cast in an advertising agency and soon got the opportunity to star in a commercial for McDonalds.
By the end of school, the young man already knew for sure that he wanted to start a creative career and become an actor.
Film career
Duffield got his debut role in 2006 in the Canadian television fantasy melodrama Under the Mistletoe.
The film takes place before Christmas. The head of the family, Tom Chandler, goes to get the tree and is killed in a car accident. He returns to the family in the form of a ghost, but only his son Jonathan sees him. Tom's wife - Susan tries to cope with the loss of her husband and immerses herself in work. She does not believe in the existence of ghosts, as well as in the stories of her son that he sees his father and can communicate with him. But everything changes when father and son decide to arrange Susan's personal life.
In the same year, Barkeli got another role in the action adventure film "Pathfinder", a co-production of Canadian and American filmmakers.
The film is set in America, even before the arrival of Columbus's ships in the country. The lands belonging to the Indians are invaded by the Vikings. After the battle, only one boy remains alive, whom the Indians take to their camp. Only many years later, the main character will meet with the Vikings again and he will have to make a choice on whose side he is.
The following year, the actor played in several projects at once: "Dance until you drop", "Helpless", "Aliens in America" and "Chronicles of the Future."
In 2008, he played a small role in the television film "Honor of the Uniform", which tells about the adventures of a police dog named Ace.
In 2011, Duffield joined the main cast of the fantastic project "The Abode of Anubis". The series was released on screens for 3 seasons.
After the end of filming, the actor immediately began a new job in the series "People of the Future" about children with supernormal abilities.
In 2016, Barkeli got the main role in the project "On the Other Side". After an unsuccessful adventure, his hero ends up in a hospital, where he falls into a coma. From that moment on, he begins a completely different life, in which he will be forced to fight the villains from a certain secret organization.
In 2017, Duffield starred in the drama By Design, and a year later in the sports drama Season of Miracles.
