In many world religions there is a legend about the "Day of Judgment", which none of those who lived before and are living now will not escape. In this judgment, everyone will be rewarded according to his deeds. It was this idea that formed the basis of the plot of the film "Heavenly Judgment". Is this a metaphor or an inevitable given? Will all deeds be rewarded, and if so, where are our deeds recorded? Is it only for deeds or for thoughts? Each person may have many questions for this maxim.
Two friends of a lawyer live in a strange blue-gray world. Color in this world is rare and therefore looks especially defiant. Especially red. Red tie. Red Rose. Red wine. Although wine and rose are prohibited here, they are smuggled. Why? Because this is the place of the Transition - the place of the "Doomsday". In order to get to the place where there is color and joy, taste and smells or complete darkness and despair, you need to go through the procedure of a court hearing in accordance with all the rules of Roman law: with a prosecutor and a lawyer, with a judge and jury, with witnesses and a suspect.
“- I wonder how a person who should judge should feel himself?
- Every day, sorting out other people's sins, you remember yours"
Every day, every single day, the souls of people are judged here, the sinners and the righteous are sentenced, and the defendants are sent either to the Sector of Peace or to the Sector of Meditations, and sometimes … sometimes they give a second attempt - they return them back.
Friends confront each other in a daily fun fight, like a lawyer and a prosecutor. But after … After the meeting, they live with all the passions, which in the place of the Transition will never be vetoed by anyone, not even the Supreme Hierarchs.
Amore
The Amore family is to blame for everything, of course. If not in 100 percent of all the troubles of mankind, and in all sins, then in 80 for sure. If it were not for the carelessness of this mafia family, how many troubles would humanity have avoided ?! Lot. Almost everyone. And they know themselves have fun, shooting with two hands.
“In all this love of yours, there is only one wounded in the heart. Another is sold for money, food, care. In 99, 99% of cases"
Amore's imprecision and voluntarism are at the heart of most of the doomsday cases. Even the most righteous souls stumbled over Love - a feeling that the family evoked with their unarmed shooting.
Love does not disappear anywhere, neither in this nor in this world. But if we love, then sometimes we must let go of the one we love. To understand this, the hero played by Konstantin Khabensky needed not only to become the Prosecutor and to judge the new beloved of his wife, who is still beloved and alive, but also several trials over other people with completely different situations.
The hero of Mikhail Porechenkov is also one of those who suffered. He managed to fall in love with a live one. And now he will “live” on with this. Forever?
Quid pro quo
"The pride of insignificant people is to constantly talk about themselves, and the pride of tall people is to talk about themselves never."
Isn't the world of the living strange? Confusion constantly occurs there: the righteous on earth turns out to be unrighteous in heaven, and the most sinful sinner - when analyzed in detail on the Day of Judgment - is quite the opposite. What's good: colorful dreams are alive. Beautiful Morphea - the heroine of Ingeborg Dapkunaite - in her video library records them in the same way as fully lived lives: moment by moment, second by second. Capturing reality usually helps the judicial investigation. But even there there are … not mistakes, no, but not entirely fair, from a human point of view, decisions. And the person under investigation is sent not to the Peace Sector, but to the Meditations Sector.
The Heavenly Judgment mini-series consists of four episodes. In each of which there are several parallel stories and problems - comical, banal, confusing, considered sincerely and inventively.
A sequel is currently being filmed, which will be released in 2014.
