Alexander Stepanov is known in musical circles as the rapper ST. The guy from a young age dreamed of music, dreaming of rising to the heights from which the stars of American rap shone to the world. The rapper was lucky more than once. But the real secret of his popularity is the colossal work and work on performing skills.

Alexander Stepanov is known to Russian listeners as the rapper ST. The future performer was born on September 23, 1988. His father was a naval officer. Therefore, Sasha's childhood passed in numerous journeys from place to place. Stepanov was born in Moscow, then the family moved to the small town of Gadzhievo, located beyond the Arctic Circle. There was a naval base there.
A few years later, Sasha's father was transferred to Kaluga, and then they returned to the capital of Russia.
Alexander grew up as an ordinary boy. He was cocky and lively, he spent his free time with the guys in the yard. He went in for sports and music. As a teenager, Stepanov developed an interest in hip-hop and rap. The young man was inspired by the work of American rappers. He began to write poetry, trying to express his thoughts and feelings in this way. At the age of 15, Sasha has already recorded his first composition. Gradually he mastered the skill of recitative and became known in the circles of metropolitan rap under the pseudonym ST.
Sasha's parents divorced. After that, he could not improve relations with either his father or mother.
First steps in creativity
After graduating from school, Stepanov entered the Institute of International Relations. There was nothing to pay for tuition. I had to earn extra money, and this left almost no time for creativity. As a result, Alexander made a choice in favor of music, taking the documents from the institute. The young rapper plunged into creativity.
In 2006, a young and promising rapper ST received an offer from a reputable rapper in music circles, Serega. The collaboration bore fruit: Stepanov quickly became a favorite of the public at music festivals and parties.
In 2008, Alexander participated in the show of the MUZ-TV channel, where, with a minimal margin, he lost first place to another performer.
At the same time, rapper ST started working with producer Phlatline, recording his first solo album, which was called "One Hundred Out of Hundred". The album includes two dozen musical compositions. Following this, tours of the country began. The rapper's popularity grew. Many of the fashionable performers at the time expressed a desire to perform in the same bundle with ST.
Fans greeted Stepanov's next solo album with even greater delight. To support this project, Alexander has created a series of video clips. The most famous of them: "Peter - Moscow", as well as "Girl from the periphery". Sarik Andreasyan, the author of the films "The Defenders" and "Mugs", took an active part in the filming.
In 2012, Alexander released a bright rap single, which was the result of his collaboration with Invisible Management. This success was followed by a series of other musical compositions, each of which became an event in the musical world of rap.
Rapper ST Gains Strength
ST did not stop there with the release of the solo album Bulletproof. Five other performers have contributed to this promising project. Among them:

Critics considered the album too dark, but listeners noted that the pessimistic sound was good for rap.
In 2014, Stepanov defeated an opponent in the Versus Battle final, who turned out to be St. Petersburg MC Harry Ax. After some time, ST met in a duel with Oksimiron, But this time the victory remained with the opponent. This "battle" in Russia was among the banned.
In the spring of 2015, Alexander Stepanov presented another album called "Handwriting" to the rap community. Not only was the content of the collection of compositions unusual, but also the cover of the album: it was filled with poems that the author wrote by hand. Talking about this project, Alexander noticed that he wanted to introduce the audience to a sincere conversation in the kitchen with a friend. At the same time, the rapper was not afraid to be misunderstood.
ST has collaborated with other artists more than once. He is the author of the song "Sea", which he wrote especially for Yuliana Karaulova. Alexander's collaboration with the Leningrad group turned out to be fruitful: ST starred in several video clips of this popular group and even took part in the group's tour.
Together with Elena Temnikova, ST starred in a notable video for the song "Crazy Russian". Alexander wrote the song "Little halves" especially for his friend Olga Buzovoy.
In December 2018, Sasha Stepanov recorded another video. This time the performer turned to the classics of Russian literature: the theme for the video was "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy. Before that, the composition "Karenina" was at the top of the charts of "Nashe Radio" for several weeks.
The plot of the video is not distinguished by the search for new solutions: the video tells about love and drama, about human illusions. The responses to the creative work of ST are characteristic: many of its fans honestly admit that they do not quite understand what the main idea of "Anna Karenina" is. The filming was attended by members of the team "Disco Crash", Timur Rodriguez, sister of Olga Buzova - Anna. The idea of the video was invented by Alexander himself in a creative union with his wife.
ST plans to participate in the next Google readings, which are dedicated to a new look at old children's fairy tales. This project also involves:

Within the framework of the project, dozens of people from all over the country will read author's and folk tales, which were selected by the organizers. Stepanov is extremely pleased with his personal life. His wife is a fashion model and TV presenter Assol Vasilyeva. She skillfully combines the role of a successful businesswoman with the role of the caring wife of a brutal rapper. Alexander was incredibly lucky - his wife turned out to be an inveterate fan of Spartak, for which ST has the warmest feelings.
