Step 1
Let's immediately decide that it is not at all necessary to talk about your position to the labor exchange inspector. You are obliged to register you in any case if your pregnancy does not exceed 30 weeks. But whether or not to inform employers about it is up to you. Although the law does not prescribe any restrictions on the employment of pregnant women, HR staff prefer to refuse women in interesting situations for any reason. But if you hide the fact of pregnancy, the reaction of the employer in the future may not be the most optimistic.
Step 2
To register with the labor exchange, you need to bring all the necessary documents, the list of which can be clarified with the employees of this organization. The inspector will ask you to write a statement and tell you how many times a week and at what hours you will need to appear at the exchange to obtain a list of employers.
Step 3
You will be paid monthly unemployment benefits in the amount of 75% of your salary - 1, 2, 3 months, 60% - 4, 5, 6, 7 and 45% - for further months. Please note that the maximum allowance is RUB 4,900. And whatever salary was at your previous place of work, more than this amount will not be transferred to you. If you did not work at all, the allowance will be minimal - 890 rubles.
Step 4
When the time comes to go on maternity leave (after 30 weeks), you will need to bring a certificate from the medical institution where you are registered for pregnancy to the labor exchange inspector. Sick leave is not paid at the labor exchange, so monthly transfers for the period of the decree will stop. But you can still get a little money for childcare. To do this, you will need, after the birth of the baby, to apply to the regional department of social protection, and, until the child reaches one and a half years, you will be paid an allowance.
Step 5
And, most importantly, do not forget about yourself and your future baby. Try to find yourself a job closer to home, negotiate a part-time job.
