Louis Garrel was born in 1983 in Paris. Probably, from that very moment his fate was a foregone conclusion - after all, he was born into the family of the great director Philip Garrel, whose father was an actor. Louis's mom is actress Brigitte C.
The childhood of the future genius passed in a creative atmosphere bordering on anarchy. He was allowed everything, and he tried many activities before he came to the conclusion that the profession of parenting was the most suitable for him.
True, since the age of 6 he has been acting in films - his debut role for Louis was in the film "Spare Kiss". Then there was a break for twelve years, and then he again appeared in the film "This is my body" (2001). Perhaps it was Antonio's role that prompted him to take decisive action? Quite possibly, because it was then that he entered the National Conservatory of Paris, where he began to study dramatic art.
Film career
While still a student, Louis Garrel played the main role in the melodrama The Dreamers (2003), in which young people conduct dangerous psychological experiments, trying to understand the border between good and evil, as they understand it. The film is filled with an unsettling atmosphere, partly because the streets were unsettling at the time - it was 1968; partly because the young people themselves did not understand what they were doing, going beyond the bounds of what was permissible.
Already this work of the young actor made it clear to the audience that a new star of French cinema was rising, and Garrel later confirmed this by receiving the Cesar Prize for his work in the film Constant Lovers (2005) directed by his father.
The next award - "Palme d'Or" for the film "All Love Songs" (2007), where Louis played the main role. All subsequent years were filled with work on the set of the films "Imaginary Love" (2010), "Beloved" (2011), "Castle in Italy" (2013), "Saint Laurent. Simultaneously with filming in films, Louis was engaged in scriptwriting and directing. In 2015, he released the feature film Friends. The director himself called his creation "a manifesto of irresponsibility", and many viewers described it as "the height of frivolity." Personal life
By the time the other actors are just about to tie the knot, Garrel has “walked into this water” twice. His first wife was 18 years older, but this did not bother Louis at all, because Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi is a real beauty. Their love began on the set, and soon they began to live together. And they even adopted the Senegalese girl Celine. It is not known what led the couple to a breakup, but four years later, Louis and Valeria broke up.
Now Louis is happy with a new darling - Leticia Casta, an actress and model. Letitia has three children, so she was in no hurry with the wedding. But still, in June 2017, on the island of Corsica, their family was born with Garrel - the marriage took place.
