Biography of a journalist
Artem was born on January 26, 1966 in Moscow. The future journalist spent most of his childhood with his grandparents. Artyom did not have a father, and his mother had to work very hard to support her family. His grandfather was an employee of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs and traveled a lot. It was he who introduced the little boy to the history of our country and gave him the necessary life skills.
During his school years, Sheinin studied very well and had an exemplary reputation with teachers. After receiving a general education, he went to the army for military service. At that time, the Afghan war was going on and Artyom was sent to this Asian country. He still recalls the events of those days with special sadness and horror. Sheinin witnessed the death of acquaintances and friends every day. This greatly tempered his character and taught him not to lose concentration in any situation.
In the army, Artem became a sergeant in the Airborne Forces, and after returning home he entered the history department at Moscow State University. In 1993 he successfully graduated from the university and became an anthropologist. This profession allowed him to travel a lot across Russia and visit the most distant corners of our country.
But then Sheinin began to get involved in journalism and got a job as a screenwriter on television. He also worked in parallel as a correspondent on the NTV channel and took part in the filming of documentaries.
By a happy coincidence, Artyom managed to get to know Vladimir Pozner, who was just creating a new program on Channel One. They became very close friends, and Posner invited Sheinin to work together. So Artem became an employee of the main channel of the country and one of the creators of the program “One-story America”. He became a real expert on American life. Sheinin and Posner together traveled around most of the United States in an ordinary car and got acquainted with the life of ordinary people in this country.
After returning to Russia, Artyom became a frequent guest on the political program Vremya Pokazhet. And when the presenter Pyotr Tolstoy became a deputy of the State Duma, Sheinin was invited to replace him. So Artyom became known throughout the country. For a couple of years now, the journalist has appeared on TV screens live almost daily on weekdays. He is not afraid to give sharp comments to the events taking place in the world and does not go into his pocket for a word. Personal life of the host
Artem really does not like to talk about his personal life. He believes that work and family cannot be linked. Sheinin has three children. Moreover, the first child was born from the previous marriage of a journalist. But the current wife Olga gave birth to a daughter and a son to Artem.
In addition to participating in television projects, Sheinin is engaged in writing. He has already published two books. One of them tells about the events of the Afghan war, and the second - about the conflict in Ukraine in recent years.
