Notes of the repose are served in churches for the commemoration of the departed during the service. There are certain rules for the design of these notes, which are important for every Christian and which should be observed.
It is necessary
- - church kiosk;
- - a piece of paper or a special church letterhead;
- - a pen.
Instructions
Step 1
A church note of the repose is written directly in the church and submitted to the church kiosk. A note can be submitted to all baptized Orthodox Christians who died in a righteous spirit, that is, who died a natural death, a violent death (at the hands of other people), or who died in an accident.
Step 2
At the top of the note about the repose, a cross is necessarily drawn and the text is written: "About the repose." Next are the names of the deceased, for the commemoration of which a note is submitted. The names are written in full, in the genitive case. In addition to the name, you can indicate regalia, for example, priesthood, attitude to military service (warrior). If the note is submitted for a child who died before the age of seven, the baby should be written before the name. If the deceased child was between the ages of 7 and 15, it is a boy / adolescent.
Step 3
It is better to write the note in block letters so that the names are easy to make out. In the notes of repose, filed within forty days after death, the newly deceased should be written before the name. If a person is worthy of constant mention, you can add the ever-memorable before the name. If a person died a violent death at the hands of a murderer, one should not write about this in a note of repose.
Step 4
In many pious families there was a special book - a commemoration, in which, in the process of death, the names of the deceased were entered. It was kept next to home icons, brought to church and served to the priest during the service. Church note about the repose - the same commemoration, only one-time.
Step 5
A note of rest, submitted without the cross depicted on it, written illegibly and sloppily - a manifestation of disrespect for the church and the deceased. It is not necessary to write many names in a note. It is better to submit several notes, in each of which indicate 7-10 names. It is advisable to find out the correct church spelling of the name of the deceased to whom the note is being submitted. This can be done by looking at the calendar or church calendar. All notes on the repose are brought into the altar and read before the Holy See during the Divine Liturgy.
