The Christian Church has a very special relationship with the dead. After all, this is the essence of the Christian faith - to die and be resurrected with Christ. For this, Christians fast, pray, watch at night, observe the Sacraments. Therefore, the prayers for the departed are so varied and so often repeated during the Liturgy and special services, for example, Panikhida.
It is necessary
- - sheets of paper
- - pencil or pen
- - a small amount of money to donate to the temple
Instructions
Step 1
On the evening before the Liturgy, sit down and remember all the dead, whom you or those close to you knew. At the same time, remember that in Christianity there is a concept "if baptized". That is, the deceased, about whom you are in doubt, bred or not, should be entered. If you know for sure that the deceased person was not baptized, then you cannot commemorate him at the Liturgy. He, as well as suicides, infidels, notorious blasphemers, can only be remembered at home prayer and then with caution.
Step 2
Write the deceased on the sheets of ten names each in the genitive case. This should be done in order to make it easier for the priest to read when he pronounces the commemoration. Moreover, if a person had two names, secular and given at baptism, then the latter must be written in the note. For example, the names Rosa, Vladilena, Milan do not exist in the calendar, the Church does not know holy people with such names. The same names as Oksana, Svetlana, Yegor, Vadim and similar derivatives should be written accordingly as Xenia, Fotinia, Georgy, Vladimir and so on.
Step 3
Get up early in the morning and go to the office with your prepared name sheets. Give there the notes to the priest or deacon with a request to commemorate the dead at Proskomidia.
Step 4
Simple reverently throughout the service, praying with all the believers and do not leave until the priest says goodbye to the parishioners.
