Kim Jaejoong is a popular South Korean singer, musician, composer, model and designer who achieved fame not so much because of his talent, but because of his hard work and perseverance in achieving goals. He started his career with boy band TVXQ and is now a member of the Korean pop group JYJ.

Kim Jaejoong was born on January 26, 1986 in the South Korean city of Gongju. His parents divorced when Kim was not yet 4 years old. Since the mother could not provide for the family, she gave the boy up for adoption, which he found out only in 2006.
Despite the fact that Kim had no musical education, at the age of 15 he left for Seoul to audition for S. M. Entertainment is one of the most influential talent scouting agencies in South Korea. To ensure his residence in the capital, he had to take on any job, while he managed to star in a cameo role in the film "38th Parallel".

Kim is also building a solo career (he has already released 5 solo albums), starring in films and television series, the best of which are "Heavenly Postman" and "Protect the Boss", takes part in television projects - both in South Korea and in other Asian cities. His work is especially popular in Taiwan, Japan and China, while Chinese fans, according to a poll conducted by one of the television channels, named the singer the most handsome man in Asia.

After Kim became popular in his homeland, his biological father tried to regain parental rights, which caused outrage from fans who are confident that such a desire is due solely to commercialism, and not paternal feelings. In order not to stir up a scandal, the father eventually gave up his rights and stopped the fight. Kim, in turn, decided to maintain good relations with his biological parents, so he periodically meets with them, but his adoptive mother and father remain the real family for him.
As a South Korean citizen, Kim Jaejoong was required to serve in the army for 21 months. Before the call, he managed to finish filming the television series "Spy" and give 2 concerts to say goodbye to his fans for a while. On March 31, 2015, Kim was called up for service, which ended on December 30, 2016. During this period, he tried not to attract public attention, but continued to make music as part of a military orchestra.
