Kim Dickens, née Kimberly Jan Dickens, was born on June 18, 1965 in the small town of Huntsville, located in northern Alabama. The girl was born into the family of Justin Dickens, a country-western songwriter, and Pam (Clark) Howell.
Dickens graduated from Lee High School. She then attended Vanderbilt University Research University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
