Step 1

There are five major religions in the world: Hinduism, Judaism, Shinto, Christianity and Islam. They appeared in different eras in different parts of the world and in different nations. The goal of every religion is to give a rational explanation of death, to find the meaning of human life. Religious scholars believe that religious cults and Homo sapiens appeared at the same time.

Step 2

According to the law of the Russian Federation and many others, including international conventions, everyone has the right to free choice of religion. No one can force a person to choose one religion or refuse another. At the same time, some countries are characterized by the predominance of a certain religion, for example, the most common religion of the Arab countries is Islam, in Greece and some Slavic countries - Orthodox Christianity, in Italy and a number of other European countries - Catholicism, in India - Buddhism and Hinduism. in Japan - Shinto and Buddhism, and so on. However, nationality and religiosity may not coincide, so one cannot say, for example, "all Hindus are Buddhists."

Step 3

A negative attitude towards a person's choice in favor of a particular religion (including atheism) is unacceptable. Religion is an attempt to find the truth by an intuitive method, and mockery of a person's spiritual search, and even more insults and threats, is tantamount to admitting one's own mental disability.

Step 4

Religion does not call for violence, murder, robbery and other violations. Each religious system calls for peace with itself and others, offering different methods to achieve it. The main ideas of all religions are similar and put the inviolability of property and human life at the forefront, promote general humanistic values. One should not confuse the opinion of a religious fanatic or politician who deliberately distort the texts of holy books with the aim of unleashing wars, justifying the murder of gentiles and foreigners, violating the laws of a particular country.

Step 5

Religion is an attempt to raise the moral and ethical level of a person with the help of the promise of lifetime and posthumous retribution: according to almost any religion, passion leads first to serious illnesses (for example: gluttony - to obesity, promiscuous sexual relations - to sexually transmitted diseases), and later to death and posthumous suffering (or rebirth in a body burdened with disease). Attempts to use people's faith for other purposes (flirting secular authorities with the patriarchs, citing sacred texts as calls to start a war) have no connection with true religiosity.
