Immigration to China is not easy. The reason is that according to the law of October 9, 1980 ("PRC Citizenship Law"), citizens of different countries must meet certain requirements to obtain Chinese citizenship.
Instructions
Step 1
Under the aforementioned law, a citizen can acquire, lose or restore the citizenship of the PRC. Citizenship of this country is possessed by all persons who belong to any of the nationalities of China living in the country. In addition, a child born in the PRC will become a citizen of the PRC if his parents (or one of them) has the citizenship of the country.
Step 2
Also, if a child was born in China, but his parents do not have citizenship of any of the countries in the world and have lived in the PRC for a long time, he automatically becomes a citizen of the PRC.
Step 3
According to the seventh article of the law on citizenship of the PRC, stateless persons or foreigners can apply with their application to the competent authorities of China. The applicant, when entering Chinese citizenship of his own free will, must abide by the country's Constitution and other laws.
Also, foreign citizens and stateless persons for naturalization must have a close relative who has Chinese citizenship. Such relatives include parents (both relatives and non-relatives), spouses, children (also adopted or relatives), brothers and sisters, grandfathers and grandmothers.
In addition, the applicant is required to reside in China permanently. Foreigners who have been under Chinese jurisdiction for a long time, enjoyed legal protection, complied with all the laws of the country, can also apply for Chinese citizenship and obtain permission.
Step 4
If you do not possess any of the listed conditions, but have some other valid reasons (for example, you are a friend of the Chinese people, make a huge contribution to the construction and prosperity of China, and so on), then you can also become a citizen of the PRC.
Step 5
Please note that after the application for citizenship is submitted and granted, the citizenship of the other country will automatically be lost, as the People's Republic of China does not recognize dual citizenship.
