The owner of a huge number of trophies and achievements, the world and European champion, all this is Andres Iniesta.
Biography
The future "wizard" was born in 1984 on May 11 in a small town in Spain. As befits future stars, Andres was in love with football. The family was not rich, his parents worked as waiters in a local eatery. It took several months to save up to buy a pair of boots.
These costs were not in vain. By the age of 12, Iniesta was playing for the local team, in which he was watched by the Barcelona breeders. At such an early age, Andres received an offer to join the Barça academy. This was the start of the dizzying career of one of the world's best midfielders.
Career
In 2002 he entered the field for the first time in blue and garnet colors in the match of the most prestigious competition of the old world - the Champions League. The following season, he played eleven matches and scored 1 goal. He was able to really gain a foothold in the starting lineup of Barcelona in the 2004/2005 season. From that moment on, he came out in almost every game.
In total, this famous footballer spent 16 unforgettable seasons at the Catalan club. 674 times he appeared on the field, scored 57 goals and gave 142 assists. In May 2018, Iniesta went to the land of the rising sun and signed a contract with Vissel Kobe there.
National team
In the national team, Andres Iniesta played an equally important role. The debut took place in 2006 in a friendly game against the Russian national team. In the same year, the Spanish magician went with the national team to the World Cup, where Spain, leaving the top line of the group table, lost in 1/8 to the French. In this tournament, Iniesta entered the field only once, in one of the matches at the group stage, and played all 90 minutes.
In 2008, Spain became the European champion, by that time Iniesta had already established himself in the team and became a key player. In 2010 "Red Fury" won the World Cup trophy by defeating the Dutch in the last game of the tournament. In extra time, the only goal was scored by Iniesta. It is noteworthy that the Spaniards went through all the games of the playoffs with a modest score of 1-0. In 2012, the Spaniards consolidated their success and won the European Championship again, ruthlessly defeating the Italian national team 4-0 in the final. This was the most successful period for Andres Iniesta himself in the national team, and for the whole team as a whole.
In 2018, after losing in 1/8 to the Russian national team, Iniesta announced that he was ending his performances for the national team.
Personal life
Andres Iniesta is married and has three children. He met his future wife in 2009 at a party with friends. The history of this relationship has long been unknown, since the couple cannot stand personal exposure to the public. But inquisitive and especially attentive journalists simply figured them out. They say that Andres, modest by nature, delayed the proposal for a long time, as he was very afraid of being rejected. However, the wedding nevertheless took place immediately after the 2012 European Championship, where, in addition to the title of champion, Iniesta also received the title of the best player in the tournament.
