early years
Dmitry Anatolyevich was born on December 31, 1979. His hometown is Mariupol (Donetsk region). During his school years, Dima went in for swimming. He also attended a dance studio, performed as part of a dance group.
In 1997, Surzhikov tried to get into a theater university in Moscow in order to master the profession of a director, but he could not enter. In the next 2 years, Dmitry worked at the Mariupol Drama Theater, where he was in the auxiliary composition of the ballet troupe.
Later he decided to master acting and began his studies at the University. Karpovich Karpenko-Kary (Kiev), graduated from which in 2003. Surzhikov studied in the workshop of Nikolai Rushkovsky, People's Artist of Ukraine.
Creative career
The first performance with Dmitry's participation was called "The Cuckold", it took place in 1998. The dramatic production "Stolen Happiness" became important in the actor's career.
Since 2004, Surzhikov worked at the Kiev Drama and Comedy Theater, where the actor had a busy schedule. Sometimes an actor had up to 13 performances a month. Dmitry worked in this theater until 2011.
The first motion picture in the actor's filmography is "European Convoy" (2003), where Surzhikov starred in an episode. Then there were the roles of minor characters. In 2006, Dmitry got the main role in the movie "Treasure", and then he played in the series "Guardian Angel".

Personal life
Dmitry Anatolyevich was married twice. There is no information about his first wife. The second wife was Martynyuk Alla, a former member of the Slivki collective. They met in their student years, studied at the same university.
Later, Alla left for Moscow, but life in the capital did not work out for her, she returned to Kiev. Later, Alla saw Surzhikov on stage, and then interviewed the artist. A romantic relationship began, Dmitry and Alla got married.
They had 2 daughters - Emilia, Alexandra. Dmitry also nurtured Alla's daughter from her first marriage, whose name is Polina. Later, the couple broke up, Alla began to appear with another man.
