Use the available tools on the resource where the quote you liked was published. See who posted it on the site. It can be one of the registered users here or someone from the administration. The methods of contacting the site administration are usually indicated on its main page.
Step 2
Enter the full quote or most of it into one of the internet search engines and look at the results. Usually, the resource on which the quote was published earlier than others is in one of the first places in the search results. Examine all the links provided on the first search page and see which site has the author's name.
Step 3
You can specify additional search parameters to get more accurate results. For example, if you know the approximate time when the quote appeared on the Internet, set the appropriate time frame when searching. Now, opposite each link, you will see the exact date of posting the material on the Internet, which will make it easier to find the source of the quote.
Step 4
Also search various social networks. It is possible that the quote was posted on his profile by one of the users, and after that other sites began to use it.
Step 5
Check the quote for uniqueness in one of the plagiarism finder apps. In the search results, this usually also indicates the site where the phrase appeared earlier than others. If you have heard a quote from a specific person, be sure to contact him personally and ask him to suggest its source. It is possible that he took it from some kind of feature film or literary work.
