In the Soviet Union, much attention was paid to the creation of its own industrial production. In January 1968, Anatoly Aleksandrovich Mekhrentsev was appointed chief engineer of the Kalinin Sverdlovsk Machine-Building Plant. Childhood and youth
The future chairman of the regional executive committee was born on August 2, 1925 in an ordinary peasant family. Parents at that time lived in the village of Parashino, on the territory of the Kungursky District of the Perm Territory. My father worked as a general-purpose machine operator on a collective farm. In 1942, Mekhrentsev was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces. It fell to serve the Urals in the Far East. After completing short-term courses at the Aviation Technical School, he was seconded to the famous Pacific Fleet as an aircraft mechanic. Anatoly Alexandrovich took part in hostilities against the Japanese invaders on Sakhalin and on the Korean Peninsula. In 1950, after demobilization, he returned home and completed his studies at the technical school. Then he decided to get a specialized education at the mechanical faculty of the Ural Polytechnic Institute.
During his student years, Mekhrentsev was actively involved in Komsomol work. After defending his diploma, he was assigned to work at a local machine-building plant. The production career of the young engineer was developing successfully. In early 1970, Anatoly Alexandrovich was appointed director of the plant. Seven years later, an experienced specialist and leader was elected chairman of the Sverdlovsk Regional Executive Committee. In this position, Mekhrentsev had to deal with the elimination of problems that had accumulated in the region for decades.
Recognition and privacy
Anatoly Alexandrovich devoted a lot of time and effort to establishing proper order in the regional economy. For his great contribution to the development of industrial production, he was awarded the honorary title of Hero of Socialist Labor. Mekhrentsev was awarded two Orders of Lenin and the Order of the Badge of Honor.
The personal life of Anatoly Mekhrentsev has developed well. He lived most of his adult life in a legal marriage. The wedding was played during the student years. The husband and wife raised and raised their daughter. The chairman of the Sverdlovsk regional executive committee died suddenly in January 1985.
