A multivisa differs from the usual one in that it can be used to repeatedly cross the border of the state that issued this document. This is a convenient solution for those people who travel abroad often and do not want to go to the embassy before each visit. However, this document has its own specifics upon receipt. How to issue a multiple entry visa?
It is necessary
- - international passport;
- - documents confirming the purpose of stay in the country;
- - money to pay the duty.
Instructions
Step 1
If you do not have a passport yet, apply for it. The visa is placed in this particular passport. To register it, contact the district office of the Federal Migration Service at your place of residence. You will need to fill out a passport application form, certify it with your employer or, if you are a student, at an educational institution, and pay the fee. It differs depending on whether you are applying for an old-style passport or a "new generation" passport valid for ten years. For the last one for 2011 the duty is 2500 rubles.
Step 2
Contact the embassy of the country where you are going to travel and specify what documents you need to prepare to obtain a multiple entry visa. This can be done by calling the embassy by phone, by going there in person or through the organization's website.
Step 3
Prepare the required documents. They may differ depending on the country. Usually, confirmation of the purpose of the trip is required - an invitation if you are going to visit friends or relatives, a certificate from a travel agency if you are traveling as a tourist, or an invitation from an educational institution for students.
Step 4
Fill out the visa application form. It can be downloaded from the website of the embassy of the country where you are going to travel. Provide all data fully and correctly. In the column on the type of visa requested, specify that you need a multi-visa of the type corresponding to the purpose of your trip.
Step 5
Submit your documents to the embassy. If you are interested in a Schengen multivisa, you must apply for a visa at the embassy of the country where you will be staying longer during the planned trip. For example, if your itinerary starts with a five-day holiday in Italy and ends with a ten-day visit to France, contact the French embassy for entry documents. Also pay the visa fee. It differs depending on which country you want to enter.
Step 6
In case of a positive decision on your visa request, you will receive a visa at the same embassy that you applied to earlier.
